The Chelsea Flower Show is one of the most complex and demanding events held within the UK and the standards of health and safety required to operate effectively on a very small and complicated show site. The lack of space creates a range of problems that are probably not replicated at any other show. The Select Services team have worked very closely with the enforcement authorities, drive forward health and safety standards and provide a safe working environment for all our contracts, exhibitors, visitors and staff.
The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show has now grown into the largest event of its type and presents a no less demanding but quite different range of challenges to the Operations team and their health and safety advisors. Select Services have become a highly valued extension of the Show Management team and have once again been instrumental in developing and delivering health and safety standards for this event.
In addition to the constructional phases of the shows, Select Services also play a key role during the open period of the events contributing to their safe and efficient operation and the maintenance of health and safety standards. These shows attract 155,000 and 185,000 visitors respectively with up to 40,000 people on site at any one time. The logistical and operational demands of the events are tremendous and the work of Select Services in supporting the Operations team is greatly appreciated.”
